CT Scan

What is CT?

A Computed Tomography (CT) scan is a specialised medical imaging technique that uses X-rays and advanced computer technology to produce detailed two- and three-dimensional images of the body. CT scans provide a clear and comprehensive view of all types of body structures, including bones, blood vessels, and soft tissues, allowing our medical specialists, make accurate and timely diagnoses.

Our low-dose CT technology provides the clarity for accurate diagnosis, with your safety and comfort as our top priority.

How do I prepare for CT scan?

At Newton Radiology, when you make a booking for a CT scan, you may be asked to fast for a short period of time. If there is any chance you may be pregnant or diabetic, please inform our staff before your scan.

Some CT scans require an injection of contrast dye, which will be injected into a vein in your arm. It is important to let us know if you have any allergies or other medical conditions such as renal impairment.
