During procedure

At Newton Radiology, image-guided procedures such as injections and biopsies are performed using ultrasound or CT guidance to ensure precise targeting.

For injections, imaging is first used to accurately locate the area of concern. The skin is then carefully sterilised with antiseptic solution. A fine needle is guided into the targeted region, followed by the injection of local anaesthetic and, if required, a dose of corticosteroid to reduce inflammation and pain.

For fine needle aspirations / biopsies, imaging is used to guide a needle directly into the area of abnormality. Small tissue samples are collected and sent to pathologists for a precise diagnosis.

Our expert multilingual radiologists will help guide you through the process.
