What is X-ray?

An X-ray scan is one of the most common and effective imaging tests used to assess injuries to bones and joints, or to examine areas such as the chest for possible infection. An X-ray image, also known as a radiograph, is created when a small, carefully controlled amount of radiation passes through the body and is captured by a digital detector or film on the other side.
At Newton Radiology, our state-of-the-art digital X-ray equipment uses advanced technology to ensure high-quality images while keeping radiation exposure to an absolute minimum.
